Our average cabins and bunkies have an insulation R13 to R14 rating making a good heating source capable of heat up the small space adequately.
You have the option to request a higher insulation R rating for your cabin upon checkout. This is a good option for those who want additional insulation for much colder climates.
Keep in mind, if opt to buy our log cabins and the interior space of your cabin is heated the walls will act as thermal mass. This means when your heat source warms the air in turn the wood walls absorb and retain a certain amount of that heat and is able to release it back into the structure over time. This is something typical forms of insulation can not do and is unique to solid wood structures.
Most of our clients are very happy enjoying their structures with no additional insulation.
At this time we do not deliver but we can recommend towing companies that can tow the cabins to your location if you are unable to tow the cabin to your property yourself.
